Come along and discover the history of plastics - their uses, how they are made and the creative side of producing plastic parts, from routine artefacts to luxury objects.

Description

Installed in the heart of the Sillicon Valley, Oyonnax museum, unique in Europe, tell the long and fascinating industrial story about a town and its valley, from combs in box tree to the future plastics processing industry.
It's in this way of object's life, machinery and men, that join comb's specificities and ornament of hairstyle in its technical, symbolic, artistic aspects and plastics in its different applications.
So it mix hairstyle ornaments, parts of decorative art, toys of childhood, design furniture, fancy glasses, domestic objects or still designer models in a revisited course for the reopenning of 2011.
