What is aquatic hiking?
It's a canyon in which there's no abseiling. This makes it much more accessible and less technical than traditional canyoning. This is the kind of course we take our youngest visitors on, from age 7 upwards.
But don't be fooled by the fact that water-based canyoning doesn't necessarily mean a leisurely stroll! In fact, although jumps are never compulsory, they can be as high as 8 metres, or more in some cases.
These courses are perfect for families. The descent and pace can be adapted to suit the youngest child. Note that for larger groups, there's less waiting than in canyoning (waiting periods are mainly during the abseiling phases).
Water rafting is also a great option for bachelor parties, which are looking for a more fun activity than pure canyoning. Children at vacation camps and leisure centers are also very keen on the many jumps the activity offers.
In short, this discipline is for all those who love water, and all those who want to surpass themselves and jump as high as possible. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon with the family, and offers an inexhaustible supply of anecdotes to tell friends on Monday mornings, whether at school (in the playground) or at the office (during the coffee break).

If your children are under 12, I advise you to come during a period when the outside temperature exceeds 27 degrees.
Sunday afternoons are rarely used, so you may want to wait until Thursday evening for a reliable weather forecast before booking.
