Immerse yourself in the silent and mysterious world of Lac Genin in winter. A 2.5 km discovery circuit goes around the lake and into the marshland and forest. The second circuit (7.5 km) will delight anyone looking for a physical challenge.
Apremont snowshoe circuits
The cross-country skiing committee is made up of volunteers. Their office next to the town hall is open in winter, on Saturday afternoons and all day on Sunday. Here you can rent cross-country skies, showshoes and sledges.
GTJ snowshoeing – A tour of the plateau de Retord
For a weekend or a short stay, come and visit this Alpine pasture area with many of the isolated farms that are so typical of the Bugey region. From the Nu crest, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Alps and Mont-Blanc. A day out not to be missed!
This circuit of around 35 km is not linked to the main GTJ trail. You can begin from the ski resort of Les Plans d’Hotonnes, from Col de Cuvéry or the village of Le Poizat.
